Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy
Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) is a mental health treatment in which licensed therapists use interactions with horses to address psychological, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Sessions involve non-riding activities—such as observing, interacting with, or caring for horses—that help clients explore themes like trust, boundaries, and emotional regulation. Horses’ natural responsiveness offers insight into clients’ internal states and relational patterns, which supports work with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues. EFP combines evidence-informed psychotherapy with the horse’s therapeutic presence to promote healing, connection, and personal growth.

Equine Assisted Learning
Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) is an experiential learning approach that partners humans with horses to develop personal and professional skills. In EAL sessions, participants engage in structured, non-riding activities—such as leading, grooming, or problem-solving tasks with horses—while guided by a trained facilitator. The horses provide immediate, honest feedback that helps individuals build self-awareness, communication skills, emotional regulation, confidence, and teamwork.
